Celebs at New York Fashion Week Spring Summer 2010

Victoria Beckham touched down at JFK airport with a dress of her own design. The fashionista chose black Carmontelle for the occasion, which has become her hero piece for autumn/winter collection. This dress was spotted in gray on Elle McPherson, and in red on Leighton Meester. Quite simply, she looked Posh as ever.

Cindy Crawford was looking as effortlessly gorgeous and stunning as in her supermodel heyday. She was the belle of the ball at launch of her JCPenney clothing collection, in a plunging leopard print dress and patent high heels.

Blake Lively got our fashion pulses racing again, as she stepped out from Saks Fifth Avenue designer Room launch in New York. Her electric blue shift was simply divine. She chose pitch-perfect accessories like black courts and clutch, and statement rose quartz drop earrings. We just love her style!

Gossip Girl’s rocking teen stylista, Taylor Momsen, showed off her signature chic style at the launch of Anna Sui’s Target collection, based on the hit show. Dressed in a leather high-waisted mini, printed tee and ankle boots she struck the right chord. While lustrous ruby red lipstick was pure punk chic.

Cynthia Steffe Spring 2010 Collection ~ MBFW

For an array of designs packed with silks, sequins, and suedes, the Cynthia Steffe Spring 2010 collection was surprisingly boyish. The creative director, Shaun Kearney, hit his stride with a Spring collection that brilliantly unites Steffe girl’s propensity for sweetly feminine looks and modern mix-up sensibility favored by cool chicks like Alexa Chung.

Cynthia Steffe brand, known for its great wear-to-work basics, are mostly designed with an eye toward minimalism, including color and prints when necessary. And they have maintained their trend in this show as well.

“It’s no longer about the head-to-toe look. Today’s woman wants to take a little from here, a little from there, and make it her own,” reasoned Shaun.

Ruffles played a key role for collection, while flirty frocks with cascading lapels felt just right. There was plenty to grab like a washed cotton-linen boyfriend blazer, an airy suede utility vest, and a sexy mini bedecked in swishy pearl beads. The playful drop-waist and pastel minidresses were attractive and jackets were fantastic – especially at their price point.

BCBG Max Azria Runway Spring 2010 New York Fashion Week

BCBG MAXAZRIA, the brand that most often graces US Weekly, and is sold in over 550 stores worldwide, served it’s slim collection of 31 looks in New York. For the first time, designer Max Azria is putting lots of floral prints and patterns, in his BCBG runway show, at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010

The looks forbear of t-shirt dressing, painterly abstract expression prints, asymmetry and draped jersey. Several looks played with contrasting textures, like a minidress with smooth puzzle-shaped crepe panel mixed with gracefully ruched printed fabric. While a hem jersey dress featured a quilted architectural shoulder, and black and white gowns were adorned with metallic beading.

t seemed like the collection was meant to present what we’ll be wearing six months into the future, with some peaks of present and the recent past. A couple of select dresses from this Spring 2010 collection went up for sale on company’s web site immediately after the show.
